St Peter’s College has gone from strength to strength over the last decade as it has become a school of choice for boys within the isthmus area.
As a consequence, the College has engaged in a process of replacement and expansion of its facilities to maximise the efficient use of its constrained campus.
Civitas was first engaged to obtain resource consent for the construction of a sports centre fronting Khyber Pass Road. The sports centre houses a multi-purpose indoor court, fitness room, classrooms and changing facilities. Two tennis courts and a parking area were also constructed adjoining the sports centre.
We were subsequently engaged to secure resource consent for the construction of a 12 classroom block on the Mountain Road edge of the site. This three storey building allowed the College to reduce the number of temporary classrooms that had until that point been relied on in order to cope with an increasing roll. By elevating the building above one of its existing parking areas, the College also managed to maintain its existing level of parking while increasing open space.
