The St Kentigern Trust Board acquired the Corran School site in 2009 and needed to move the school in a new direction to re-establish the
school's viability.
The pre-school was a relatively complicated project for its size as it extended across multiple land parcels with different zonings. It also impacted on previously approved but only partially implemented resource consents for which there was incomplete information.
Nevertheless, a key objective was to achieve resource consent on a non-notified basis so that the pre-school could be up and running as soon as possible. This required careful analysis of the existing situation and the effects of the new facility, particularly on the neighbours.
Civitas brought together a team of consultants who could be relied on to perform to the level required and engender the trust of the Council. As a consequence, a non-notified consent was granted.
We subsequently achieved resource consent to extend the pre-school, also on a non-notified basis.
