The McFarlan Centre provides the reception, administration and communal facilities for the College, within a sweeping RTA Studio-designed
building.
Civitas was engaged to coordinate the architectural, landscape, arboricultural, civil engineering and traffic engineering inputs to the consenting process and manage the relationship with Council.
We briefed the specialist consultants, reviewed their deliverables, prepared the assessment of effects, and managed all communication with Council, ultimately achieving a non-notified resource consent for this major development at the “front door” of the College.
The McFarlan Centre was a finalist in the Property Council of New Zealand Awards 2013, receiving an “excellence” award in the Education and Arts category.
