Monte Cecilia School Relocation

Auckland City Council resolved to acquire the Monte Cecilia School land under the Public Works Act to fulfil its vision for Monte Cecilia Park. As a consequence, the School needed to relocate to a new site.

Civitas was engaged to lead a plan change application to re-zone the new site from Residential to Special Purpose – Education. This required the coordination of a team of consultants, preparation of a concept plan for the long term development of the site, consultation with the surrounding community, and the presentation of evidence in the subsequent hearing. We were subsequently engaged to secure the district and regional plan resource consents required to construct the new school and parish centre.
