The clubhouse for Carlton Cornwall Bowls Inc. was destroyed by fire and the Club was keen to build replacement facilities as soon as
possible.
Drawing on the legacy of buildings and rural character within Cornwall Park, Copeland Associates Architects designed a contemporary interpretation of a rural ensemble – the larger clubhouse placed parallel to the greens, the smaller support building placed perpendicular to them. The materials palette is unpainted timber weatherboards, steel roofs and extensive glazing.
Civitas scoped the consenting requirements, briefed the traffic, arborist and landscape consultants, prepared the assessment of effects and guided the application through the council processes - a successful start to a successful project.
